DESCRIPTION AKA The Scarce Bamboo Page. Pretty mint green and black lace markings on the back of this butterfly from the family Nymphalidae. The larvae feed on passion vines and look like bird droppings. The adults are seen feeding on nectar on flowers in the tropical rainforests of South America.
